King Alexander The Great

YEARS: 356 - 324 B.C.

DEATH: Possibly died of Maleria that was suspected to have occured from heavy drinking.

KEY POINTS: Alexander conqured the world at a young age and created a capital in Egypt name "Alexandria." This would have then moved the capital from Memphis to his new found city. While also in Egypt he visited Memphis and then made a dangerous quest to the Temple of Zues-Ammon, where he met with a priest who declared him as a Son of God. When he died in Babylon his body was moved back to Memphis and then transported one more time to Alexandria under the direction of one of his former generals Ptolmey I. Ptolmey was also the record keeper of Alexander's conquest and became the ruler of Egypt after Alexander's former Kingdom had crumbled.

Alexander the Great will be the second character, and will mainly come into play as he enters Egypt. First he will be welcomed by the Egyptians as a savior and build his city Alexandria. At some point he will be summoned to the Temple of Zeus-Ammon. Since no records have been given of the conversation of which he had with a priest there, we can assume that if any such record was made it was either hid or destroyed in order too protect the Code of Living. The actual priest he meets with is King Tutankhamen and there he is told of the Code. He is then asked to give up all he now possesses and join the former King in the "greater quest." Alexander will then desire more time to decide and goes on in continuing his campaign. With each battle the victories seemed a little less important, and he often found himself reciting the riddle. When he finally is able to destroy the Persians and discovers that there former King was assassinated he seeks revenge for his former enemy and chooses to inter-blend with the Persian culture. He soon falls in love and marries a Persian woman. Continuing on his quest he continues to feel hallow, deep inside with each battle, and soon withdraws his campaign of India and then later Saudi Arabia. When he arrives back in Babylon he finally chooses the "hidden path" and consults his friend Ptolemy. Since Ptolemy I had been keeping a record of him they agreed to alter his current writings and state that Alexander had died in Babylon of an illness. They built him a coffin and carried it back to Memphis while Alexander now remained in secret. Inside the coffin was a former General who had died as they traveled in the desert back to Babylon. There at Memphis he again reunited with King Tutankhamen and Ptolemy took possession of Egypt to protect his former Alexander. Later when Alexander and Tutankhamen had seemed to of vanished, others including Ptolemy who were jealous of his achievements changed the final hours of Alexander's life and ridiculed him by suggesting him as a drunkard along with his men and that was the cause of his death. Alexander could do nothing to stop them.
